The weeks go by so fast

It's Sunday night and a new work week is upon us. It was a pretty decent week, a lot was accomplished, and I made time to have some fun.

Some highlights:
  • I completed a 14 mile training run. I wrote about it here. I'm happy it's done, glad I have that distance behind me, and am ready to tackle next weekend's long run.
  • I made it to a yoga class! This was very much needed for stress release and relaxation, as my mind has been cluttered lately with thoughts that are not conducive to healthy living. It was one of the best things I did for myself all week, and hopefully I'll get to another one this week.
  • My eating was half on, half off. I wouldn't say it was terrible, but it wasn't as consistent as I would have liked it.
  • I had 2 fun nights out - one with friends at a winery celebrating a birthday, the other seeing a pretty good play at the Kennedy Center. Cate Blanchett, among other incredible Australian actors starred in it. It was a good night and I'm glad I decided to get tickets.
I've got some pretty fun things planned for the upcoming week, along with the usual training runs and workouts. My goals for this week are to stay on my training schedule, get in another yoga class, and try and get my eating under control. I realize that when my food is out of control, my running suffers. I need to maximize all of my runs for the next 2 months.
